The Kurland Polo Season in Plettenberg Bay spans from December
to
April and attracts an ever increasing number of international patrons,
top professionals and polo enthusiasts from around the world.
The highlight of the season is the annual Kurland International Polo Test. Over the years this has been played between South Africa and England, Argentina
or Australia respectively.
It is played at the end of December each year. Our players
and horses now have international status and the Kurland International is heading
towards being rated one of the top test matches in the polo world. This is one of the social events of the year and
attracts the who’s who of South Africa’s Celebrity world. |

Hospitality tickets can be purchased either individually or suites of 36 seats.
Individual tickets - R600 plus VAT each and include the following:

| BMW is one of the major sponsors that have allowed many talented young polo players to become professionals due to their support of the sport. BMW is justifiably proud to have been one of the original sponsors, having been a loyal supporter of polo for 15 years. The company has just signed on for another three years. “That must make us one of the longest running sponsorships in the country,” says Richard Carter, BMW’s Corporate Affairs Director. “The sport fits well with our brand and both are enhancing each other’s image.”
Richard says they are both trying to expand interest in the game and introduce a polo-based development program aiming to bring talented formally disadvantaged youngsters up to Springbok level. They are also sponsoring the BMW Development Cup, which is contested for by development teams just prior to every international test match being played. |
