For the insider scoop on some of the best outings to attend, our Kurland families have curated a list of the events that are firmly confirmed in their festive season diaries.
Get playful at the Polo
Plett’s 2023 Polo Season is upon us and boasts a host of events from now until 14 January 2024.
If you only attend one event this festive season, make it the Plett Polo Festival on 29 December. It takes place from 12 noon – 11.30pm and it’s an absolute highlight for many locals and avid polo fans.
You’ll experience a wonderful day outdoors, watching world-class polo while indulging in delectable eats and drinks. There are VIP boxes available, or you can bring your picnic blankets and enjoy the show from the side of the field. From 4pm onwards you can join the after-party, hosted by Hotboxed, on the field below the Pavilion.
For sensational seasonal snacking while you’re at the polo, make sure to visit the summer pop-up Beau de Jour (BDJ) Café at the Pavilion, as well as the Pavilion’s restaurant for the season, TREAT, which is being run by Murray Pienaar.
Other polo dates to diarise include:
- The Summer Cup: 11 – 23 December (12 goal)
